Desi Couple on the Go

1. Introduction

Welcome to Desi Couple on the Go (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website, booking a tour, purchasing a travel package, buying a travel guide, or requesting a customized itinerary, you (“you”, “client”, “traveler”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using our services.

2. Our Services

We provide:

Travel Packages – Group and private tours to destinations including Finland, Tanzania, Norway, Egypt, Morocco, Switzerland, Italy, Paris, and more.

Customized Itineraries – Curated travel plans that allow you to travel independently. We provide the planning, but logistics (flights, hotels, transport, etc.) are your responsibility unless otherwise specified.

Travel Guides – Digital or physical guides for destinations, available for purchase.

3. Bookings & Payments Conditions 

Bookings are confirmed only after receipt of the required deposit or full payment.

All bookings, changes, alterations, and cancellations must be made in writing. The Prices include taxes and VAT.

 

On payment of booking amount Desi Couple On The Go will provide details of domestic transfers and hotel reservations. This can be used as a supporting document for a VISA application.

 

Desi Couple On The Go guarantees that there will be no changes in the prices of confirmed, paid and booked tours. A detailed list of all services included in the tour price will be specified under each tour. Any extra expenses incurred by the client during the tour, for example use of hotel mini-bars, cost of alcoholic beverages, or any other services not mentioned in the itinerary etc. must be paid directly by the client to the hotel or other provider of such services, prior to departure.

Payment methods: bank transfer is free of charge, credit/debit card, or any other method offered on the website might attract additional charges, 

Prices may change prior to full payment due to exchange rates, taxes, or supplier costs.

 

4. Cancellations & Refunds

All cancellations must be made in written to info@desicoupleonthego.travel

The date of the cancellation shall be when we/Desi Couple On The Go receives it in writing

Time before departure	Cancellation Charge
From the date of booking until 61 days before your arrival date	EUR 750 per person or 30% of package price; whichever is higher
Between 60 and 31 days before your arrival date	60% of tour cost
Between 30 and 15 days before your arrival date	85% of tour cost
Between 14 and 2 days before your arrival date	100% (no refund)
Two days before start date or in case of NO SHOW (failing to avail tour package)	100% of the tour package cost

In addition to the above, in case of cancellation of a tour by either party, the amount spent by the Company on visas, medical insurance, Protector of Emigrants(POE) including administrative charges would be payable by the participant.

Travel arrangements cancelled or amended within 24 hours of your departure or once travel has commenced will not qualify for any refunds, nor can services be substituted for alternative arrangements. Unused services are nonrefundable.

Due to reasons by act of God/nature and reasons beyond our control, Desi Couple On The Go reserves the right to cancel the tour. In this case, full amount paid to Desi Couple On The Go will be refunded, but we will not be liable for any further claims

5. Customized Itineraries

These are for planning purposes only. We do not handle bookings unless specifically agreed.
We are not responsible for third-party service failures when you execute the itinerary independently.

6. Travel Guides

Personal, non-commercial use only.
We are not responsible for information that may change after publication (e.g., opening hours, safety alerts).

7. Health, Safety & Travel Documents

You are responsible for obtaining a valid passport, visa, travel insurance, vaccinations, and any other required documentation. We recommend a careful examination of the customs/duty regulations and currency regulations for the respective destination(s).

In case you need a VISA to travel to Finland we recommend you to apply at least 3 to 6 months before the travel date.

We at Desi Couple On The Go recommend all our customers to have adequate travel insurance, also to include cancellation cover. Desi Couple On The Go cannot be held responsible for loss of luggage, or other personal possessions, for personal injury, accident, or illness. In the event of personal injury, accident, or illness, Desi Couple On The Go cannot make any refunds should the tour be partially cancelled or cancelled.

Desi Couple On The Go does not handle the VISA application process for the guests. Desi Couple On The Go provides a Booking Confirmation with a detailed Itinerary within the Nordics, which can be used as “Travel Itinerary Document” for the VISA Application process. Please note that “Proof of Travel” document for VISA application usually also requires confirmed roundtrip reservation from the home country which Desi Couple On The Go does not provide.

 

Desi Couple On The Go is not responsible for VISA approval or rejection as it is sole discretion of the concerned authorities.

 

Disclose any medical conditions that may affect travel; proof of fitness may be required.

We are not liable for expenses or issues arising from missing or incorrect documentation.

8. Itinerary Amendments

Any change requests for confirmed/reserved bookings are subjected to availability. Desi Couple On The Go reserves the right to agree to amendments on tours and share additional cost details on amendments.

Itineraries may change due to weather, strikes, government regulations, or other unforeseen circumstances.

We will provide alternatives wherever possible but are not liable for costs beyond our control.

9. Liability and Responsibility Of Desi Couple On The Go

We at Desi Couple On The Go have the obligation to choose all services carefully and prepare the tour in the best way possible. In the unlikely event that services are not fully carried out due to an error through us at Desi Couple On The Go, we reserve the right to provide equivalent services in compensation. In this case, further damage claims will not be accepted.  Subject to this settlement, in case a breach of contract is committed by Desi Couple On The Go, it becomes our direct liability to compensate for immediate loss or injury to the customer, provided that the breach was not caused by Force Majeure or the behavior of the client or a tour participant, and that it is a question of the non-performance of a promised service or an alteration of services which has less value than the service agreed upon in the original agreement. The amount of this liability is restricted by the sum of the agreed cost of the tour. Furthermore, the providers of the various services are basically personally liable to the client, in case the services are not being carried out in a satisfying way or to their full extent, contrary to the expectations.

 

The liability of the individual coach, taxi, shipping and other transport & travel companies contracted by Desi Couple On The Go for the purpose of organizing a tour, depends on the appropriate laws of the general conditions of business, on the contract’s obligations and on common usage.
Any arising complaints must be directed to Desi Couple on the Go immediately and confirmed in writing. In case complaints cannot be solved on the spot, they have to be directed to Desi Couple On The Go in writing within 30 days after the termination of the tour. Later claims cannot be taken into consideration.

 

10. Activities

Some of our tour packages include activities such as husky rides, and reindeer sledge, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing and similar. In this relation Desi Couple On The Go acts as an agent only for the activity providers, thus Desi Couple On The Go shall not under any circumstances be held liable for injury, damage, loss or accident caused by participation in or in connection with such activities.

11. Acceptance

By paying the deposit the customer has accepted the general terms and conditions listed in this document, as a part of the agreement between Desi Couple On The Go and the customer.

12. Force Majeure

Events beyond our control (natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, strikes, regulatory changes) release us from obligations without liability.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including itineraries, guides, videos, blogs, and branding, belongs to Desi Couple on the Go.
No part may be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without prior written consent.

14. Data Protection & GDPR

We collect personal data only for bookings and service delivery.

By using our services, you consent to us storing and processing your data in accordance with EU GDPR regulations.

You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands.
Any disputes arising will fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam, Netherlands

15. Updates

These Terms may be updated from time to time. The version on the website at the time of your booking applies.
